An underlayment adds another 1 4 inch to 1 2 inch to the total flooring thickness. Screw the anchor board to the concrete floor with the help of 4 inch concrete anchoring screws. Your final base cabinet needs to be installed over the anchor with the side wall touching the anchor board. Once you ve done now install base cabinets but make sure to install only one at a time.
In fact only a few anchor braces must be installed to secure your cabinets in place. Once you have screwed the floor cleats into the concrete then set the base cabinetry into position and secure them with regular wood screws designed for installing cabinets. When you are finished anchoring the island or peninsula cabinets they should not rock or wiggle at all when you apply back and forth pressure. As far as the platform is concerned you can do this to level the area wherae you will install them but then the counters will be higher.
Attach this cabinet to the anchor board by using two 2 inch wood screws. A new kitchen can be installed on a concrete floor. Sink the screws through the cabinet through the drywall and into the wall studs using your vertical pencil lines as a guide. If you install wood product directly on concrete the moisture in the concrete will wick up into the cabinets and ruin the parts in contact with the concrete.
