No Ceiling Light In Bedroom Solution

The easiest solution for no overhead lighting is to leverage the windows you already have in your apartment.
You can simply connect one to the outlet which is operated using the entryway switch. So here are options that you should not consider when you are trying to light a room with no overhead lighting. They make that as a kit with a cordset instead of the usual wired units. Use table lamps in different sizes at varying heights or in pairs to add more light to a room if you don t have overhead or ceiling lights.
My dilemma is that i have no overhead light in my master bedroom and no set up to install one. Make sure the ceiling is painted bright white so the lamp lighting will be reflected. I currently just have a floor lamp plugged into the outlet operated by the light switch and a bedside lamp. If the landlord will allow a hole or two and you don t mind the cord you could also consider track lighting.
Any light hanging from the ceiling will require drilling a hole in the ceiling and a cord running over to a wall then down to the outlet. A couple times i have found myself trying to flip on the lights only to realize they are alr. We had the bedrooms wired and had ceiling fans with lights installed. The ceiling fans really are helpful in the summer. This helps prevent the people from casting shadows.
Depending on the decorating style scour used items stores salvation army etc for the floor lamps. As always there is no perfect solution. Our first home a three bedroom did not have ceiling lights either. No regrets and we would do the same thing again.
The home was five years old and the original buyers did not opt to pay for this option. You affix a hook to your ceiling and then plug the lamp into the wall.
