When it comes time to plan out your home renovation project you re faced with finding a balance between the practical and the decorative. These popular bathroom tiles are intended for indoor use only and are a budget friendly option for floors and walls.
Luckily with ceramic and porcelain tile you get both despite this not all ceramic and porcelain tiles are the same glazed and unglazed tile options have their differences that offer distinct advantages for different spaces. Unglazed tile in kitchens or high traffic areas may become dirty quickly and difficult or even impossible to clean. Grade 1 first quality ceramic tile for floors walls countertops and backsplashes. The problem is every time i go to home depot the people that work there have no idea what i m talking about i can t find anything that says unglazed quarry tiles and i don t know what they exactly look like or what section they are supposed to be in.
Class 4 abrasion resistance suitable for floor applications with heavy foot traffic. Porcelain tile can be installed in high traffic making them the best type of tile for your kitchen floor and bathrooms. They are a red color. Unglazed tile however lacks this top layer.

The tiles have to be unglazed it is absolutely essential that they are unglazed. Quarry tiles is another name for them and they look like terra cotta pots. They are similar to ceramic tile though more dense and available in multiple sizes designs and colours. Like ceramic porcelain tile is stain and moisture.Now glazed tile often has lead in it so you want to be careful to get an unglazed slab. I use them under a dutch oven for bread and then use a cloche next to that so i can do two loaves at a time.
